team have a responsibility to your client; to offer the best solution(s) to their individual
situation. These challenges may be estate planning related, succession planning, partial
or total liquidity and/or growth capital.
Our expertise is in working with family businesses, management teams, and business
owners who seek more than what the traditional auction process affords them. We
have built our firm upon the knowledge of how to work through difficult situations
and how to work with you to solve your clients’ problems. We have a long history
of ensuring that intermediaries are justly compensated for their efforts.
GLO will provide you and your client with a quick and decisive response. Our firm does
not have a hierarchical structure; the decision makers are always involved from the
start of every discussion, every negotiation and every transaction review. You can be
assured that the feedback is not subject to a partner's second opinion. In short,
GLO & Co. is a very easy and decisive investment firm for you to consider for your client.
It is important to note that we are not a traditional private equity firm, and we
may not be the best buyer for every business that you assist, but for a significant
subset of your client base we are, most likely, the best solution.
Since our inception we have completed over 75 transactions and listed several companies
on the New York Stock Exchange. Unlike the traditional private equity fund, we invest
capital on a deal by deal basis, allowing GLO & Co. to be creative in structuring our
transactions. GLO & Co has a cadre of capital sources that have invested alongside
our firm for over 59 years in this manner.
Due to the fact that we are not a fund, we are not constrained by the traditional
limited partnership style funds’ holding periods (normally three to five years).
Our structure allows us to build long-term relationships and create value that would
not otherwise be attainable with the conventional short-term investing approach.
We are able to make the right investments in the business without worrying that the
payback on that investment may be beyond the 1 or 2 year horizon of the typical
private equity firm.
As an advisor to business owners and managers, we believe that we are the perfect buyer
for the business where the seller is seeking to ensure that the core values of the
acquired businesses remain intact - the employees, the traditions, operating philosophies
and the culture. We view the preservation of these values as paramount to our value
building strategy.
Additionally, GLO & Co. makes these commitments to you as an advisor:
- You will receive a returned call within two business days.
- Upon receipt of information, we will reply within five business days regarding our interest; a quicker turn-around can occur if needed.
- We execute standard transaction agreements (Fee, NDA, etc) in a timely manner.
- For those intermediaries not engaged by the selling company, we will offer fee agreements that are aggressive and that are honored.
We close quickly. The track record of our professionals is based upon a history of swift
and decisive acquisitions. Once we have an executed LOI, you can be assured that our
desire is to commence ownership as soon as possible.
